Position: Health and Safety Officer

Location: Newbury (travel across Oxfordshire, M3 Corridor, Southampton, Plymouth)

Salary: £40K-£45K

Daniel Owen is proud to represent a social housing contractor in the Newbury area seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves being the on-the-ground H&S lead for the West, reporting directly to the Group H&S Manager.

• Manage SHEQ Advisors to support project delivery of the company's SHEQ strategy and ensure managers fulfill their responsibilities.
• Conduct site audits, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and engage operatives, with a focus on upskilling in-house operatives and promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Must be comfortable covering a large region and traveling as required.

Key Knowledge and Qualifications:

• Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in social housing
• Experience in managing teams with advisors reporting into the manager
• Current full UK driving license
• NEBOSH certification
• Experience with Planned Maintenance
