Job summary

Appoint Limited is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager with strong environmental management expertise to join its HSEQ team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role offers hybrid working (2–3 days per week) with a salary up to GBP75,000 DOE plus a car and benefits package.

You will lead environmental compliance, manage audits and RAMS, and drive ISO 14001/45001 initiatives across construction projects. Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' Health & Safety experience in construction (groundworks/civil)
• Demonstrable environmental management experience in construction (essential)
• Recognised H&S qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Construction/General)
• Environmental qualification (ISEP/IEMA/NEBOSH Environmental)
• Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and ISO 14001
• Excellent documentation, reporting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance, procedures and management systems.
• Manage environmental audits, reporting, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Support compliance with environmental legislation (waste, pollution, water).
• Prepare and review RAMS and Construction Phase Plans.
• Support site inspections, audits and continuous improvement with HSEQ team.
• Maintain and improve HSEQ management systems (ISO 14001/45001)
