Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for our Didcot, Oxfordshire project. You will lead health and safety excellence across civils schemes, ensuring compliance with legislative and corporate standards while coordinating Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, audits and stakeholder requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant health & safety experience in Construction / Civil engineering.
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent.
• Qualified internal health & safety auditor with demonstrable experience of completing internal audits.
• Understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating registration surveillance visits.
• Working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation
• Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
• Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels

Responsibilities

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to lead health and safety excellence across some of our civils projects. You'll ensure compliance with all legislative and corporate standards while driving the coordination of Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, audits, and stakeholder requirements.

This role will sit in our Strategic Projects division and will be based on our Didcot, Oxfordshire project.

About you

• Relevant health & safety experience in Construction / Civil engineering..
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent.
