Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for our Didcot, Oxfordshire project. You will lead health and safety excellence across civils schemes, ensuring compliance with legislative and corporate standards while coordinating Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, audits and stakeholder requirements.

You will work within the Strategic Projects division to promote best practice, deliver training, and support ongoing safety improvements on site and

Qualifications

• Relevant health & safety experience in Construction / Civil engineering.
• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent.
• Qualified internal health & safety auditor with demonstrable experience of completing internal audits.
• Understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating registration surveillance visits.
• Working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation
• Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
• Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels

Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety across civils projects and ensure compliance with legislative and corporate standards.
