Job summary

David Lloyd Leisure is seeking a Health and Safety Manager for our Brighton club to oversee daily operations, health & safety compliance, and staff training. You will regularly act as Duty Manager, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulations while leading a team and managing self-employed contractors.

The role focuses on maintaining high safety standards, managing facilities upkeep, and delivering excellent customer service within a premium health and wellness environment.

Qualifications

• Has an IOSH / NEBOSH or other relevant, recognised H&S qualification.
• Relevant Facilities Management Qualification (HND, Diploma etc)
• Strong understanding and experience of Health and Safety regulations
• Experience in managing the maintenance and upkeep of a facility.
• Experience in managing a team in a service led facility (e.g. restaurant, attraction, retail unit, sporting or leisure facility)

Responsibilities

• Act as Duty Manager, ensuring smooth operation and adherence to health & safety and compliance regulations.
• Lead a team and manage a group of self-employed contractors.
• Train and align team with company expectations.
• Oversee day-to-day club operations and health and safety compliance.
