Health & Safety Manager

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + Holidays, Pension, Bonus

Working Days: Monday to Friday

My client, a market-leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced H&S professional to work closely with one of their flagship sites. Role Description

1. Promote effective H&S management, influence behaviour, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across both sites, especially on the shop floor.
2. Review, update, communicate, and ensure adherence to all EHS policies, procedures, rules, and regulations across both sites.
3. Ensure compliance with statutory environmental, health, safety, and welfare obligations, including statutory training and reporting.
4. Complete and review risk assessments and safe working procedures regularly.
5. Document, investigate accidents, and implement corrective actions.
6. Establish audit, inspection, and training programmes, liaising with external providers and ensuring staff are aware of their responsibilities.
7. Manage, chair, and document Health and Safety meetings, ensuring action points are completed on time.
8. Participate in meetings and prepare relevant reports as needed.
9. Liaise with stakeholders including HSE, insurers, solicitors, and suppliers.
