About the role…

Our continued success and growth have created an exciting opportunity for an experienced, driven, and enthusiastic Health and Safety Manager to join our team at the Screwfix contract in Stafford, with occasional travel to sister sites. This role is critical for managing health and safety within the Transport department.

Shift pattern: 08:00 - 16:00 Monday-Friday (any 5 from 7 days)

What you will contribute…

• Manage the health and safety function for Transport, including supervising staff to meet objectives.
• Ensure a safe working environment for employees and visitors, complying with legal requirements and company policies.
• Lead collaborative health and safety projects at site and support group initiatives.
• Provide authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters.
• Review and audit health & safety arrangements, implementing improvements where needed.
• Develop strategies to reduce risks and recommend equipment, practices, and process changes.
• Maintain reporting regimes for H&S statistics and provide management information for stakeholders.
• Drive behavioural culture change across operations.
• Ensure site risk assessments are current and training complies with legislation and best practices.
• Support site management in accident investigation and proactive safety improvements.

What you will bring…
