Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to drive safety excellence across civil engineering projects. You will ensure compliance with legislative and corporate standards and coordinate Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, audits and stakeholder requirements on our Didcot project.

The role requires NEBOSH Diploma, internal auditor experience, BS OHSAS 18001 knowledge, and strong presentation, communication and IT skills.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.
• Qualified internal health & safety auditor; Lead Auditor status beneficial but not essential.
• Understanding of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating surveillance visits.
• Working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation.
• Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
• Training and presentation experience at all levels.
