Job summary

Ministry of Justice seeks a Health, Safety and Fire Practitioner to support national plans for HSF and Litigation risk management. The role provides first-line guidance, coordinates establishment administration, and ensures timely investigations and safety compliance across sites.

The post holder reports to the Senior HS&F Advisor within the HSF&L Delivery Team and may support other establishments as required, working with internal and external stakeholders to maintain safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must provide first-line guidance on health, safety and fire management.
• Experience in investigating complex incidents and reporting findings.
• Ability to train staff and managers on risk controls and safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate health, safety and fire management across establishments.
• Produce and review risk assessments and action plans.
• Lead and support training and awareness for staff and stakeholders.
• Liaise with management and external services on safety matters.
• Assist in governance reporting and risk registers.
