Job summary

HSBM Facilities Management Ltd is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support the development, implementation and monitoring of processes to manage health, safety and environmental risks across projects, assisting in driving strong safety standards.

You will work closely with operational teams on housing maintenance projects, providing practical advice and helping ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation.
• Ability to work with site teams.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Client reporting and liaison with stakeholders.
• Site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring.
• Create and review risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments.
• Provide practical H&S advice to employees and project teams.
• Support investigations of accidents, incidents and near-misses.
• Promote safe behaviours and hazard reporting.
• Identify improvements to working practices and processes.
• Contractor HSE evaluations and safety initiatives.
• Prepare timely reports and presentations detailing performance data.
• Support training and briefings.
• Review DSE risk assessments and remedial actions.
• Review medical questionnaires and personal risk assessments.
