Job summary

DP World in Minworth is seeking a Health, Safety and Facilities Manager to lead all safety, health and facilities matters on site and roll out training.

You will implement HSE systems, conduct audits, manage risk assessments and deliver safety training to employees, contractors, and visitors in line with UK legislation. This is an on-site role within a global logistics group, offering opportunities to shape safety culture and process improvements.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in health and safety role, preferably in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Familiar with country-specific health and safety standards including ISO and internal audit qualifications; understanding of DOT/EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and maintain health and safety management systems, training programs, and procedures in line with current legislation for the assigned country(s).
• Represent the company at external audits on health and safety matters.
• Ensure compliance to audit standards and work with auditors and vendors to address findings promptly.
• Design and develop written health and safety procedures; monitor and update as regulations change.
• Provide technical safety and health support to all employees.
• Coordinate risk assessment activities and analyze data to reduce accidents.
• Investigate accidents, gather documentation, liaise with insurers and legal entities.
• Evaluate and manage compliance of practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and legal adherence.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs for staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Represent the company at internal safety meetings and supplier/customer safety reviews.
• Collaborate with operations to improve the working environment and reduce exposure to hazards.
• Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify hazards and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage and support documentation related to material handling equipment.
