Job Title - HSE Advisor

Location - Didcot, Oxfordshire

Are you ready to be part of one of the leading UK EPC engineering companies? We specialize in providing turnkey solutions in the fields of substations for power transmission, renewable energy, and transportation. Our expertise and commitment to excellence make us a trusted partner for our customers.

We are looking for a dedicated HSE Advisor to join our team in Didcot, Oxfordshire.

What will you do?

  1. Ensure comprehensive HSE governance within the project.
  2. Collaborate with site teams to schedule and facilitate audits.
  3. Lead accident and incident investigations.
  4. Monitor subcontractor activities continuously.
  5. Foster strong relationships with Linxon staff and Client (NG) representatives.
  6. Review risk assessments and method statements with site management.
  7. Attend HSE meetings and provide guidance.
  8. Engage with the wider HSE function to promote teamwork.
  9. Support business development activities as needed.
  10. Maintain professional competency through CPD activities.
  11. Provide assurances to the HSE manager for effective safety management on site.

Experience:

  1. HSE professional experience, particularly in HV substation roles.
  2. Knowledge of industry standards and client working practices.
  3. Thorough understanding of CDM and Civil/M&E installation documentation.
  4. Experience in high-pressure environments.
  5. Strong safety focus and excellent communication skills.
  6. Accident investigation certification and experience.
  7. Graduate Member of IOSH.

Qualifications:

  1. University level education (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
  2. NEBOSH Certificate or Graduate Qualified.
  3. NG Persons trained - desirable.
