Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking an Engineering Officer/Health and Safety Professional to join the Health and Safety, Performance and Training Team. The role focuses on health and safety management across Roads Operations, with emphasis on training, performance and quality.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and IT skills, extensive health and safety experience, and the ability to develop and implement safety systems across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to contribute to safety culture.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a diverse workload.
• Experience developing and implementing Health and Safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage Health and Safety, performance and training for Roads Operations.
• Contribute to service improvement across Roads Operational Service.
• Travel throughout the Council area to fulfil duties.
