Job summary

The Bedford College Group is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to join the Health and Safety department at The Bedford College Group. The role involves developing, monitoring and improving health and safety systems to ensure compliance and effective performance across Northamptonshire campuses.

You will conduct audits, assist with risk assessments, investigations and practical risk-reduction solutions.

Qualifications

• Holds a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and shows commitment to ongoing development.
• Experience producing reports and business documents using Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and monitoring of health and safety systems to ensure legislative compliance.
• Conduct audits and risk assessments, investigate incidents and promote hazard reduction.
• Provide professional health and safety guidance, training and emergency planning support.
• Produce compliance and performance reports and assist with KPI development.
• Support safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion across multiple campuses.
