Job summary

Circle Health Group is seeking a Health and Safety Cluster Advisor to join Mount Alvernia Hospital. The role covers three sites between Guildford, Chertsey and Basingstoke, with 37.5 hours per week and a salary up to £40,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

The position is entry-level and welcomes applicants with healthcare experience or a strong health and safety background. You will advise Senior Management Teams and work with regulators to ensure compliance and drive improvement

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience with Health & Safety exposure or substantial H&S experience.
• IOSH registration or willingness to apply.
• Fire safety skills.
• Competency as a Risk Assessor.
• Contractor safety management.
• Experience undertaking audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear advice to Senior Management Teams on compliance with health and safety obligations and policies.
• Demonstrate compliance with health and safety standards to regulators and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HSCL to improve safety performance across cluster sites.
• Coordinate H&S time allocation and attendance for each site in the cluster.
• Identify and share lessons learned following incidents in the cluster.
• Contribute to corporate projects, policy development, training and research as needed.
• Escalate intolerable H&S risks to management and propose practicable improvements.
