Job summary

The Works Stores Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to lead safety initiatives across our multi-site operations from our Coleshill area. You will oversee processes, conduct risk assessments, manage incidents and develop training programs to strengthen safety culture.

You will collaborate with the People team and senior leadership to deliver compliant, data-driven safety improvements and drive a proactive safety mindset across colleagues and store operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in health and safety management.
• Strong skills in conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures.
• Experience in managing health and safety incidents and ensuring timely resolution.
• Experience in maintaining and developing digital incident management systems.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety processes, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks.
• Manage health and safety incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align health and safety objectives and drive business success.
• Develop and implement health and safety training programmes to enhance team capabilities and support safety initiatives.
• Prepare and present health and safety reports, providing regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the health and safety function.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Work closely with the Health and Safety Manager, to support ongoing projects within the People team.
• Communicate effectively with employees, regarding health and safety queries and processes.
