Job summary

cardfactory Ltd is seeking a Health & Safety Risk Advisor to support our Southern region. This field-based role involves working with Store Managers and Regional Managers to provide practical safety guidance, manage risk and drive compliant environments across our retail stores.

You will travel regularly across the South, conduct risk assessments, deliver inductions, investigate incidents and contribute to policy development to raise safety standards for colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Experience in a health & safety role within a retail or multi-site environment.
• Ability to manage your own diary and travel across the South.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven insight to identify trends and improvements.

If you're looking for a field-based role where you can make a genuine impact, helping colleagues create safe places to work and shop, this could be the opportunity for you.We're looking for aHealth & Safety Risk Advisorto support our Southern region. Working closely with Store Managers and Regional Managers, you'll be the go-to expert for practical health and safety advice, helping to manage risk, improve compliance and support our continued commitment to colleague and customer safety. This is a field-based role with regular travel across the South and includes a company car.

What you'll be doing:

Working across a large portfolio of retail stores, you'll provide practical health and safety guidance, helping colleagues understand their responsibilities and maintain safe, compliant environments. Building strong relationships with operational teams will be central to your success, enabling you to coach, challenge where appropriate and influence positive behaviours.

A key part of the role will involve identifying risks during store visits, supporting risk assessments and providing on-the-ground coaching to store and regional management teams. You'll also deliver induction training, support new store openings and help ensure colleagues have the knowledge and tools they need to maintain high standards of compliance.

You'll investigate accidents, incidents and claims, ensuring root causes are identified and lessons learned are shared. Monitoring data, identifying trends and providing targeted support will help reduce risk and drive continuous improvement. Alongside this, you'll support the development of policies, procedures and best practice initiatives, helping to ensure risk assessment, incident and claims management processes are followed consistently across the business.

What we're looking for:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
• Previous experience in a Health & Safety role within a retail or multi-site environment.
• The ability to work independently, manage your own diary and prioritise a varied workload effectively.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• An approachable and credible communicator who can build strong relationships and explain complex issues in a practical and engaging way.
