Job summary

Clarkson Owens Recruitment is seeking multiple Health & Safety Advisors to support renewable energy and infrastructure projects across Scotland from the Glasgow head office. The role is site-focused with regular travel throughout Scotland and close collaboration with project teams, contractors and clients.

Essential qualifications include NEBOSH General Certificate and proven H&S experience in construction or related sectors. IOSH membership is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Health & Safety Advisor in construction, infrastructure, energy or engineering.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to work independently and support wider project teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent and practical health and safety advice to project managers, site teams, supervisors and contractors.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety tours across Scotland.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, construction plans and client requirements.
• Support RAMS development, review and implementation for projects.
• Assist with Construction Phase Plans, Health & Safety Plans and related documentation.
• Identify hazards and provide recommendations to improve site standards and control risk.
• Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor contractor health and safety performance and report findings.
