Job summary

Reed in Worcestershire is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to ensure company-wide compliance with UK health and safety legislation, support managers with safety initiatives, and drive continuous improvement across sites.

You'll coordinate audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training; manage PUWER/Loler schedules and fire safety processes; contribute to safety culture and prepare reports for management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a dedicated H&S role within engineering/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation (HASWA, PUWER, and LOLER) is desirable.
• Proven ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and associated regulations.
• Develop, maintain, and review H&S policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Coordinate PUWER and LOLER inspection schedules and maintain compliance records.
• Conduct workplace audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Support accident, incident, and near–miss investigations.
• Deliver H&S reports and presentations to management teams.
• Facilitate Health & Safety committee meetings and drive employee engagement.
• Coordinate H&S training programmes and monitor certification requirements.
• Manage fire safety processes, including alarm testing and emergency preparedness.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and support external audits and inspections.
