Job summary

Assured Safety Recruitment is recruiting a Health, Safety & Compliance Advisor to support a Worcestershire-based construction and infrastructure group. The role blends site presence with office-based duties, focusing on driving safety standards across multiple projects and supporting managers and operatives.

You will conduct site inspections, audits, RAMS reviews, incident investigations, toolbox talks and training with a proactive approach to building a positive safety culture.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
• UK Driving Licence.
• Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Knowledge of Work at Height Regulations and PUWER.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to engage effectively with site operatives, supervisors, managers and clients.
• Good IT and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
• Support managers and operational teams with Health & Safety compliance.
• Review and assist with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses.
• Produce audit findings, reports and improvement recommendations.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductions.
• Monitor training, qualifications and competency compliance.
• Promote safe working practices and challenge unsafe behaviours.
• Assist with the development of SHEQ procedures and initiatives.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and external stakeholders on Health & Safety matters.
