Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd. seeks a Health and Safety Advisor to strengthen safety across civil engineering and infrastructure projects in South England.

You will work with site teams and project management to promote a proactive safety culture and ensure high standards in project delivery. Key duties include implementing ISO 45001-aligned systems, conducting site audits, and leading incident investigations with root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Experience with health and safety management systems, ISO 45001 knowledge preferred.
• NEBOSH qualification or an equivalent health and safety qualification is required.
• Valid CSCS card is essential for site access.
• Full UK driving licence is required for nationwide site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety management systems across civil engineering projects.
• Promote a proactive health and safety culture across site teams and project delivery functions.
• Ensure works comply with current HSE legislation, industry standards and company procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits across active project sites.
• Identify, record and monitor non-conformances (NCRs), ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Assist with incident investigations, including root cause analysis and sharing lessons learned.
• Support the introduction of new processes, technologies and safe working practices.
• Collaborate with site teams, engineers and management to continually improve health and safety standards.
