Job description

Job Title: Health & Safety Advisor (Temporary)

My client is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to provide temporary support for a minimum of 3 months. The position is based in the York area with an immediate start.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct workplace Health and Safety inspections at various placement providers.
2. Utilize a standardised questionnaire to guide assessments (full training provided).
3. Complete follow-up documentation and administrative tasks after visits.
4. Communicate effectively with employers and college staff regarding Health and Safety standards.
5. Assist the Health and Safety team by performing on-site assessments to ensure compliance with current legislation.

Candidate Requirements:

Interested candidates should have relevant experience in a Health and Safety advisory or inspection role, a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, and an Enhanced DBS check.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
