Job summary

Miller Homes in Bristol is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to provide regional support to the Divisional SHE Director. You will implement and supervise the Safety, Health and Environmental policy to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers on company business.

The role requires NEBOSH certification, experience in audits, and a proactive leader capable of driving safety initiatives across the South West region.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within housebuilding or construction.
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent).
• Experience carrying out audits and liaising with statutory bodies.
• Leads with integrity, presence and drive.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to meet standards and compliance.
• Provide regional support and represent management in safety matters with employees and external bodies.
• Support development of SHE capability within the region by upskilling Miller personnel.
• Conduct site visits and audits to ensure procedures are followed.

We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to join our fantastic team in our South West region. The role will see you provide regional support to the Divisional SHE Director in the implementation and supervision of the Company s Safety, Health and Environmental policy so as to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers engaged on Company business.

HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to ensure our standards, performance and compliance is of the highest order
• Provide support and advice to the Region and represent Regional Management in discussions with employees and external organisations on safety, health & environmental (SHE) matters
• Support the development of Health & Safety management capability within the Region by improving the skills and knowledge of Miller personnel
• Carry out site visits and audits to ensure compliance with specified procedures and standards

HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the housebuilding or wider Construction sector
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in carrying out audits, accident investigation and liaison with relevant statutory bodies
• A natural leader possessing integrity, presence, drive, determination, natural enthusiasm
