Job summary

Miller Homes Ltd in the North West region (Warrington) is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor/Manager to lead regional SHE initiatives and support the Divisional SHE Director in implementing safety, health and environmental policies across projects.

You will conduct site visits, audits and risk assessments, develop capability, advise on compliance and liaise with statutory bodies to maintain high safety standards for all employees and workers on Miller Homes projects.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent) required.
• Experience in audits, accident investigations and liaison with statutory bodies.
• Experience in the housebuilding or construction sector is desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership, integrity and drive.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to achieve high standards and compliance.
• Provide support and advice to the Region and represent management in safety discussions with employees and external bodies.
• Improve Health & Safety capability within the Region by developing Miller personnel.
• Carry out site visits and audits to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.

We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor or Manager to join our fantastic team in our North West region. The role will see you provide regional support to the Divisional SHE Director in the implementation and supervision of the Company’s Safety, Health and Environmental policy so as to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers engaged on Company business.

Health & Safety Advisor / Manager Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to ensure our standards, performance and compliance is of the highest order
• Provide support and advice to the Region and represent Regional Management in discussions with employees and external organisations on safety, health & environmental (SHE) matters
• Support the development of Health & Safety management capability within the Region by improving the skills and knowledge of Miller personnel
• Carry out site visits and audits to ensure compliance with specified procedures and standards

Health & Safety Advisor / Manager Requirements

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the housebuilding or wider Construction sector
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in carrying out audits, accident investigation and liaison with relevant statutory bodies
• A natural leader possessing integrity, presence, drive, determination, natural enthusiasm
