Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in Norwich is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support safety across civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You will work to improve safety performance, promoting a proactive safety culture and ensuring compliance with HSE legislation.

The role involves site inspections, NCR handling, and contributing to incident investigations, with duties covering development of safety systems and implementation of safe working practices on major civil works.

Qualifications

• Experience with health and safety management systems (ISO45001 preferred).
• CSCS card is required (construction).
• A valid driving licence is essential for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of health and safety systems across civil engineering projects.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across site teams and project delivery functions.
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with current HSE legislation and company procedures.
• Carry out regular site inspections and audits across active project sites.
• Identify, record, and track non-conformances (NCRs) through to effective close-out.
• Assist in incident investigations, including root cause analysis and lessons learned.
• Support the introduction of new processes, technologies, and safe working practices.
• Liaise with site teams, engineers, and management to maintain high safety standards.

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support delivery across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
