A leading infrastructure contractor is seeking a Lead SHEQ Advisor to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and develop the environmental impact and carbon reduction strategy. This role involves oversight of SHEQ matters, managing audits, and mentoring staff. The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in health and safety legislation and practices.

With recent new business wins with multiple major clients adding to our existing portfolio of framework agreements and ongoing Major Projects, this is an exciting time to join our business.
Purpose of the role:
To ensure the Company meets the health and safety standards through the implementation of the Company Integrated Management System (IMS) ensuring compliance with government regulations and industry best practice. To support the Head of SHEQ to develop the SHEQ Advisor to achieve Company standards.
Act as Environmental and Carbon Lead for the Company developing the Excalon environmental impact and carbon reduction strategy.
Please note that due to the nature of the role the candidate will need to have a full driver's licence and be flexible with travelling nationwide to be considered for this role.

–Knowledge of H&S Legislation
–Safety Planning
–Risk Assessment Techniques
–IEMA Foundation Qualification and Associate Membership
–Confined spaces skills
–Utilities Safety Knowledge
–Excavation Safety Knowledge
–Safe Working Techniques
–NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate and IOSH
Desirable Skills and Knowledge:
–Internal Auditor for OHSAS ISO45001
–NEBOSH Diploma
