Job Purpose
To ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation to minimize risks and promote a safety culture within Merseyside Police.
Knowledge And Experience
Qualified to NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or willing to study for it, aiming for Chartered Safety Practitioner / IOSH membership. Knowledge of Police/emergency operations is advantageous.
Experience in a large public organization, knowledge of UK and EC health and safety laws, risk assessment, safety audits, and accident prevention are essential.
Effective communication skills at all levels, presentation and training abilities, and IT proficiency are required. A training qualification like Cert Ed is desirable.
