Job summary

Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is representing a UK manufacturer seeking an HSE Coordinator in Cheadle, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire. The role is full time with a Monday-Thursday 7:30-16:30 and Friday 7:30-13:30 schedule.

Salary is £40,000-£45,000 per annum DOE. You will support safety culture, maintain compliance and drive improvements across the site, working with operations and leadership teams.

Qualifications

  • Graduate IOSH level qualified.
  • Minimum one year's HSE experience.
  • Good understanding of core HSE principles, risk management and safe working practices.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with people at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental systems across the site
  • Promote a positive, proactive and practical safety culture throughout the manufacturing operation
  • Provide risk assessments, safe systems of work, audits, inspections and incident investigations
  • Track actions, monitor performance and help ensure that improvement plans are completed effectively and on time
  • Work with managers and supervisors to identify hazards, reduce risk and improve day-to-day safety behaviours
  • Help maintain compliance with relevant HSE legislation, internal standards and customer expectations
  • Contribute to inductions, toolbox talks, training and communication initiatives that build workforce awareness and engagement
  • Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, and general site compliance activities
  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and documentation
  • Be a visible presence on site, building relationships and credibility through a hands‑on and supportive approach

HSE Coordinator | Cheadle, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire | Full Time | Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm & Friday, 7:30 am - 1:30 pm | £40,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE

Our client is a long-established UK manufacturer of high-performance refractory products and part of the Zampell group of companies. The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their health, safety and environmental career who is ready to take ownership, grow their capability and make a visible impact. As HSE Coordinator, you will work closely with operational and leadership teams to support a strong safety culture, maintain compliance, drive continuous improvement and help ensure that safe working practices are embedded across the business.

Requirements
Essential
  • Graduate IOSH level qualified
  • Minimum one year's HSE experience
  • Good understanding of core HSE principles, risk management and safe working practices
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with people at all levels of the business
Desirable
  • Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline
  • Candidates working towards a degree will be considered
  • Industry background is not essential
