Job summary

Miller Homes is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join the South West region. You will support the Divisional SHE Director in implementing safety, health and environmental policy to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers on site.

Key duties include monitoring SHE systems, giving regional advice, developing safety capability, and conducting site audits to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience in a similar role in construction/housebuilding.
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent).
• Experience conducting audits and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to ensure compliance and high standards.
• Provide support and advice to the Region and liaise with employees and external organisations on safety matters.
• Develop Health & Safety capability within the Region by upskilling Miller personnel.
• Carry out site visits and audits to ensure procedures and standards are followed.

We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Advisor to join our fantastic team in our South West region. The role will see you provide regional support to the Divisional SHE Director in the implementation and supervision of the Company s Safety, Health and Environmental policy so as to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and workers engaged on Company business.

HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor, develop and implement SHE systems to ensure our standards, performance and compliance is of the highest order
• Provide support and advice to the Region and represent Regional Management in discussions with employees and external organisations on safety, health & environmental (SHE) matters
• Support the development of Health & Safety management capability within the Region by improving the skills and knowledge of Miller personnel
• Carry out site visits and audits to ensure compliance with specified procedures and standards

HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in a similar role, ideally within the housebuilding or wider Construction sector
• NEBOSH certification (or equivalent)
• Experience in carrying out audits, accident investigation and liaison with relevant statutory bodies
• A natural leader possessing integrity, presence, drive, determination, natural enthusiasm
