As a Health Physics Surveyor Trainee, you will support Dounreay's decommissioning programme while developing skills in radiological protection and workplace safety. Through a structured 2-year training programme, including an NVQ in Radiological Protection, you will gain the knowledge and practical experience needed for a career in the nuclear industry.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Site Services for Trainee Health Physics Surveyors to support the ongoing decommissioning programme at Dounreay.
Successful candidates will join a structured two-year training programme, designed to develop the skills, knowledge and practical experience required for a career in radiological protection. The programme includes working towards an NVQ in Radiological Protection, alongside a range of site-specific training and development activities.
Throughout the programme, trainees will receive ongoing support, with progress regularly monitored and assessed against Dounreay standards. You will build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating your learning and competence, supported by accredited certificates achieved through the completion of training modules.
Please note that anticipated start dates for this role will be March 2027.
