Job summary

NHSGGC is seeking an experienced Health Improvement Senior to lead city-wide work tackling health inequalities and improving outcomes for children, families and communities.

The role focuses on implementing WFSGP, building partnerships across primary care, HSCP and third-sector, providing strategic leadership and promoting prevention and early intervention. Fixed-term, full-time until 31 March 2029, with standard hours and flexible working where possible.

  • Make a significant contribution to the implementation and ongoing development of the Whole Family Support in General Practice (WFSGP) programme.
  • Work collaboratively with: Primary care services, HSCP services, Third-sector partners.
  • Provide strategic leadership to support programme objectives.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships across services and sectors.
  • Promote prevention and early intervention approaches.
  • Help embed a holistic, whole-family approach within general practice.
  • Support sustainable system change to improve outcomes for children, families, and communities.

Job description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Health Improvement Senior to join our team in a city-wide role. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and advancing our approach to tackling health inequalities and improving outcomes for children, families, and communities across the city.

All roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHSGGC can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

Fixed-term, Full-time - until 31 March 2029

Shift Pattern - TBC (predominantly Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm)

Base location - West House, Gartnavel Royal Hospital

Key Responsibilities
