Job summary

Sheffield City Council seeks an experienced public health professional to lead complex programmes in Tobacco Control and Employment and Health. You will shape priorities, lead the Tobacco Control team, and influence change across the wider system while managing staff and fostering partnership working.

The role reports to a Consultant in Public Health and focuses on Stop Smoking services, health inequalities, and strategic commissioning in a fast-moving public health landscape.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in strategy development, partnership working, commissioning and delivery.
• Experience leading complex health improvement programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Tobacco Control team and shape priorities across Tobacco Control and Employment and Health.
• Support colleagues and partners and influence change across the wider system.
• Manage a staff member working on employment and health and provide direction across strategy and service improvement.
