Job summary

Your Trust is seeking a capable leader to take charge of our health and fitness services. You will lead the gym and group exercise programme, collaborating with partners to deliver inclusive, accessible and commercially sustainable opportunities that promote physical activity and better health outcomes for residents.

The role requires Level 4 Fitness, proven leadership, and experience managing budgets and operations.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 4 in Fitness or equivalent
• Extensive leadership experience in sport or leisure
• Experience mentoring, motivating and coaching
• Proven track record working with teams across multiple disciplines and sites
• Experience managing budgets and operations under tight financial circumstances
• Delivery of service improvements and efficiency programmes
• IOSH Managing Safely or commitment to achieve within 3–6 months
• Understanding of delivering a balanced facility programme and measuring performance
• Knowledge of health and fitness, gymnastics or community programming
• Effective project management to co-ordinate tasks for activities and events
• Flexible working including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management

• Develop and monitor a diverse gym and group exercise programme
