Job description

Job Title: Health Care Assistant

Location: Ward T7 Trauma Orthopaedic Unit

Responsibilities:

1. Establish and maintain communication with patients, relatives, and carers, working in partnership with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
2. Contribute to own personal development.
3. Assist in maintaining own and others' health, safety, and security.
4. Contribute ideas for service improvement.
5. Ensure own actions help to maintain quality and patient safety.
6. Undertake routine assessment tasks related to individuals' health and well-being, making modifications within prescribed parameters and reporting back to Senior Staff on patients' progress.
7. Assist in delivering programmes of care to meet individuals' health and well-being, in partnership with the multidisciplinary team.
8. Ability to work flexibly and to meet the demands of the service.

Requirements:

Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care, or equivalent training is essential for this role.
