Job summary

Sandstone Care Group’s Oak Springs Care Home is seeking a Health Care Assistant (Days) to deliver person‑centred care within General Residential and EMI units for residents living with dementia. You will support daily living activities, provide companionship and work as part of a dedicated team.

The role offers an hourly rate of £12.76 with 33 hours (3 shifts) or 44 hours (4 shifts) per week, a Tuesday–Sunday pattern may apply, and opportunities for development within the Sandstone group.

Health Care Assistant (Days). Oak Springs Care Home

  • Hourly rate: £12.76 per hour
  • Shift pattern: 8am-8pm
  • Contracted hours: 33 hours (3 shifts) per week or 44 hours (4 shifts per week) available

Join our dedicated team at Oak Springs Care Home and make a real difference to the lives of our residents every day.

We're looking for caring, compassionate individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You'll work across our specialist care units: General Residential Unit, Early Onset EMI Unit - supporting residents in the early stages of their dementia journey or Advanced EMI Unit - supporting residents in the later stages of their dementia journey.

What You'll Do

  • Support residents with personal care, mobility and daily living needs.
  • Assist with meals, hydration and daily routines.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing.
  • Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns.
  • Work closely with colleagues to deliver outstanding care.
  • Subject to the needs of the business, you may be required to support other units within the home.

About You

  • Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering excellent care.
  • A strong team player with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to different care environments.
