Job summary

Austin Dean Recruitment is seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to work across Cambridgeshire in various care settings. This agency role offers flexible shifts and umbrella-rate pay, with day and night assignments available.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meals and hydration support, and maintaining daily care records. Applicants should have UK healthcare experience, a valid DBS, and good communication skills. Driving licence is not essential but helpful.

Qualifications

• UK healthcare experience as HC Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (preferably with Update Service).
• Up-to-date mandatory care training.
• Good safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Caring, reliable and professional approach.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends or bank holidays.
• References covering recent work history.

Healthcare Assistants - Agency Work

Location: Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas

Day Rate: From £16.00 per hour (umbrella rate)

Night Rate: From £20.00 per hour (umbrella rate)

Contract: Temporary agency work - flexible shifts

Austin Dean Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced and compassionate Healthcare Assistants to work across a variety of care settings throughout the Cambridgeshire region.

Assignments are available in settings including:

• Residential care homes


• Nursing homes


• Day care centres

Your Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with personal care and daily living activities


• Assisting with mobility, meals and hydration


• Providing emotional support and companionship

Essential Requirements

• Previous UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker


• The right to work in the UK


• A satisfactory Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably registered with the DBS Update Service


• Up-to-date mandatory care training


• A good understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person-centred care


• Good verbal and written communication skills


• A caring, reliable and professional approach


• Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends or bank holidays where required


• Satisfactory employment references covering your recent work history

A driving licence and access to your own vehicle may be beneficial for some assignments but are not essential for every role.
