Job summary

Service Care is seeking an experienced Health & Wellbeing Nurse to join a leading charity in Cheshire. The role focuses on health, wellbeing and harm reduction interventions, supporting detoxification and outreach work.

3-month contract, £35-£40 per hour, 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will hold an active PIN (RMN, RGN or Learning Disabilities Nurse) and bring experience working with substance misuse or socially excluded groups.

Health & Wellbeing Nurse - Cheshire

We're currently looking for an experienced Health & Wellbeing Nurse to join a leading charity supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use in Cheshire. Location: Cheshire. Contract: 3 months. Pay: £35-£40 per hour, depending on experience. Hours: 09:00-17:00, Monday to Friday.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering health, wellbeing and harm reduction interventions.
• Supporting community alcohol detoxification and opiate detoxification/titration.
• Carrying out health assessments, wound care, ECGs and other general healthcare interventions.
• Supporting BBV testing, vaccination and treatment access.
• Providing overdose prevention support, including naloxone programmes.
• Supporting outreach work across the borough, particularly around alcohol misuse.
• Working closely with colleagues and partner services to ensure people receive the right support.
• Completing assessments, care plans, risk assessments and accurate case records.
• Identifying and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns.

About you

We're looking for a Registered Nurse (RMN, RGN or Learning Disabilities Nurse) with a current active PIN and experience working with substance misuse, vulnerable people or socially excluded groups. You'll need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and a genuine commitment to providing person-centred care. Experience within a substance misuse setting is essential , along with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

We're also offering a £250 referral bonus for successful referrals.
