Job summary

Premier is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a detox service near Preston, Lancashire. This agency role offers flexible ad hoc shifts with competitive rates (£26.50–£27.50 per hour), and £40 per hour on bank holidays.

You will administer medications and support recovery in a detox setting within a multidisciplinary team. Requirements include valid NMC registration (Adult or Mental Health), experience in detox or related settings, and strong clinical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration (Adult Nurse or Mental Health Nurse).
• Experience in detox, substance misuse, mental health or forensic settings preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexible, reliable and professional approach to shift work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care within a detox and rehabilitation setting.
• Administer and manage medications safely and in line with protocols.
• Monitor patient wellbeing and respond to clinical needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to support recovery outcomes.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for service users.
