Job summary

NHS Jobs is seeking a Nurse within a multidisciplinary team to deliver specialist clinical interventions for individuals accessing the service. The role involves health assessments, detox support, wound care, naloxone training, and safeguarding responsibilities across several sites.

You will contribute to high-quality care aligned with UK guidelines, NICE recommendations and Change Grow Live policies, with potential evening and weekend work as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Ability to develop therapeutic alliances and effective partnerships with service users.

Responsibilities

• Undertake physical and mental health assessments for people accessing the service as clinically indicated.
• Provide education, health promotion and BBV screening; administer vaccines when indicated.
• Support opioid and alcohol detoxification in community or service settings; liaise with primary and secondary care.
• Conduct phlebotomy and organize referrals to specialist services; ensure safe blood handling and documentation.
• Deliver naloxone training to staff and clients as part of the service's harm-reduction strategy.
• Promote best practice and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and guidelines.
• Provide leadership, coaching and training to staff; participate in line management where appropriate.
• Maintain emergency response readiness with basic life support and weight management of clinical emergencies.
