Via is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Nurse to join the Adult Drug and Alcohol Service in Cheshire West and Chester (Base Northwich). You will support clinical and treatment pathways, including BBV pathways and health and wellbeing assessments for service users, contributing to routine checks for a CQC registered service.

Job description

Were looking for a Health and Wellbeing Nurse to join our Adult Drug and Alcohol Service in Cheshire West and Chester (Base Northwich). The successful candidate will be supporting our clinical and treatment pathways, including Buvidal clinics, ambulatory alcohol detoxification, BBV pathways, and health and wellbeing assessments for all service users. You will contribute to the routine clinical checks and audits for the CQC registered service, and form part of the MDT.

Our nursing teams are key to ensuring the delivery of excellent services, maintaining professional standards and CQC compliance, ensuring service users have routine access to health and wellbeing assessments, and delivering key pathways for treatment and harm reduction, improving outcomes for the communities that we serve.

You wont just be delivering clinical care youll be supporting people to stabilise their health, regain confidence, and move toward a safer, more hopeful future.

We’re looking for nurses who bring empathy, clear communication, and the ability to stay grounded when situations become complex.

To deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to those who use our services and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes. Where indicated, undertake community alcohol detoxification, support Opiate detoxification and titration in the community and refer for specialist inpatient services including liaising with hospital and inpatient unit staff. Support outreach work across the borough, particularly around alcohol misuse. Lead on Harm Reduction approaches within the service, including helping to reduce the spread of BBVs via testing and immunization schemes. Deliver general healthcare support, including Wound Care, ECGs, healthcare assessments, and other similar activity. Undertake basic life support/ anaphylaxis training so you are confident and competent to manage a medical emergency including the administration of emergency drugs.
