We are seeking a self-motivated Health and Safety Officer to join the Vertiv team in Campsie, Northern Ireland. This role reports directly to the EHS Manager and involves proactive collaboration with the Senior Management team.

The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH certification and demonstrate a positive, accommodating approach to all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular site audits to prevent incidents/accidents and communicate findings and improvement suggestions to site management.
  2. Promote a safety-first culture, raising hazard awareness and emphasizing the correct use of PPE (Safety Glasses, Footwear, Work Wear, etc.).
  3. Ensure compliance and management of documentation in accordance with ISO 45001 standards.
  4. Support the Production Supervisor in enhancing team performance.
  5. Foster a culture of continuous improvement within production areas.
  6. Develop and implement an audit process and schedule tailored to the site’s needs.
  7. Communicate changes to Operating instructions to all Team Leaders.
  8. Collaborate closely with the production supervisor, manager, and project engineers to meet deadlines while adhering to H&S procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. NEBOSH Certification or higher, with at least 2 years of experience.
  2. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  3. High accuracy and consistency.
  4. Self-motivated.
  5. Experience in a predominantly site-based role is desirable.
