We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager with a strong engineering or industrial background to lead and enhance safety across all operations. The successful candidate will drive health and safety strategy, ensure compliance with statutory regulations and industry standards and promote a proactive safety culture. This role is ideal for a professional with experience in high-risk engineering or industrial environments.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Health & Safety management system in line with legal requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections across engineering and industrial operations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Lead investigations into incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture through training, communication, and staff engagement initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice to senior management on health, safety, and industrial risk matters.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, contractors, and auditors as required.
  • Lead and develop the health and safety team, ensuring competence across all operational areas.
  • Prepare reports and KPIs on safety performance, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH National/International Diploma or equivalent professional health and safety qualification.
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in engineering or industrial environments.
