They are seeking a Health & Safety Procedures and Systems Manager to drive health and safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety across their growing portfolio of over 3,500 professionally managed homes.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety procedures and systems that align with organisational policies and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will ensure compliance and foster a safe, healthy workplace for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement health and safety procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with departments to integrate health and safety practises into all business aspects.
  • Provide training and support on health and safety best practises.
  • Monitor and enhance the effectiveness of health and safety systems, making improvement recommendations.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including audits and incident reports.
  • Oversee the implementation of RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statements) to manage risks effectively.
  • Review suppliers' health and safety approaches, ensuring compliance with standards.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in health and safety management within the real estate sector.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training programmes.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
