An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Manager to join a leading organisation dedicated to increasing the supply of affordable homes across London. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all aspects of health, safety, and compliance are expertly managed, supporting the business's ambitious growth plans while maintaining the highest standards for staff, stakeholders, and customers.

What you will do:
- Oversee and manage compliance with all aspects of health and safety relevant to the business as both employer, landlord, and developer.
- Lead the coordination and ongoing management of ISO45001 certification across multiple business areas.
- Drive health and safety assurance activities including implementation of landlord assurance models and site safety protocols under CDM regulations.
- Act as the responsible person for all matters relating to safety and compliance, including incident investigation and reporting requirements.
- Manage procurement processes and supplier relationships for specialist services such as fire safety, ensuring commercial objectives are met alongside service excellence.
- Support certification processes for additional quality standards within the overarching Quality Management System, coordinating standard compliance efforts.
- Work closely with senior leadership to ensure policies remain current with regulatory changes and sector best practices.
- Develop, manage, and report on performance metrics related to safety and compliance to foster an organisational culture focused on learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with business teams to embed safety and compliance into end–to–end processes from site acquisition through build to ongoing management.
- Maintain high customer service standards in line with group expectations while promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout all activities.
What you will bring:
- Degree educated or equivalent experience demonstrating strong academic grounding relevant to health and safety management.
- Membership of a recognised professional body within the field of health and safety or compliance.
- Proven experience managing certification processes for ISO quality standards such as ISO45001:2018 (essential), ISO9001:2015 (desirable), or ISO14001:2015 (desirable).
- A track record of delivering safe environments for staff, customers, and stakeholders within residential property or affordable housing sectors.
- Demonstrable knowledge of legislation impacting development and management of affordable housing along with practical application skills.
- Experience engaging with HSE or other regulatory bodies to develop robust processes that foster a positive health & safety culture.
- Expertise in carrying out risk assessments, implementing mitigation strategies, accident investigation procedures, and reporting outcomes effectively.
- Familiarity working alongside developers or property managers within complex project environments requiring collaborative solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities coupled with strong communication skills enabling influence at all organisational levels internally and externally.
- A pragmatic approach towards risk management combined with creative problem–solving skills that support relationship–building efforts.
