Network Security Engineer / Security Consultant (Cybersecurity) – Remote

This is a fully remote / full-time position.

Salary: £65–80k

This role involves travel across the UK, with an estimated 50% of the time away from home.

Our client, a leading cybersecurity solutions provider and reseller partnering with vendors like Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Juniper Networks, seeks a Professional Services Engineer to deliver impactful security implementations.

The Role:

As a Professional Services Engineer, you will be the technical authority, responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying enterprise-grade security solutions for clients across various industries. You will lead projects from pre-sales to implementation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer, ensuring clients maximize their security investments.

What You’ll Do:

• Deploy & optimize security solutions (Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper)
• Lead client implementations, migrations, and upgrades (remote & on-site)
• Collaborate with sales/pre-sales teams to scope and propose solutions
• Develop documentation such as designs, runbooks, and guides
• Provide troubleshooting and performance tuning
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vendor updates, and security trends
• Conduct client training and knowledge transfer sessions

Skills You’ll Need:

• At least 3 years in Professional Services, Network Security Engineering, or similar roles
• Hands-on experience with at least two of the following:
• Check Point (GAiA, R80.x)
• Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager)
• Deep knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, routing/switching, and cloud security
• Bonus skills include experience with SOAR/SIEM, scripting (Python/Bash), or cloud security (AWS/Azure)
• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or cloud security certifications are a plus
