Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent essential.
• Membership of a professional body required.
• Proven experience in high-risk environments (aviation, manufacturing, logistics).
• Experience influencing and liaising with senior management to drive safety culture.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive a positive health and safety culture across the business.
• Develop and deliver technical safety protocols for internal teams and client sites.
• Assess and develop health and safety management systems to reflect best practice.
• Manage multiple contractors in a fast-paced environment.
• Analyse risk across critical environments and implement changes to mitigate risks.

Health and Safety Manager

Location: Yorkshire/Midlands (with wider UK travel)
Salary: Up to £65,000 plus car allowance

The vacancy sits in the team that focusses on providing HSE and FM services to some of the UK's largest and most reputable organisations across high-risk and critical operating environments. The role also reports to the QHSE Director and a dotted line to the Account Director.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing health and safety team, looking to drive cultural change across the board, and to work in a professional and dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with key stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture, from employees right through to senior management
• Supporting the wider business units in the development and delivery of technical safety protocol, and identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally with clients
• Assessment and development of health and safety management systems to ensure that it reflects best practice
• Ability to manage numerous contractors within a fast-paced environment
• To analyse risk across the critical working environment and to create change to mitigate risks

Requirements

• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and relevant membership of a professional body
• Proven experience within high-risk environments, such as aviation, manufacturing, logistics, as well as managing M&E contractors on site
• Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with senior management to create cultural change on safety
• Strong working understanding of relevant ISO systems (ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001)
