Peace Recruitment Group Ltd in Glasgow is partnering with a well-established organisation to appoint an experienced Health & Safety Manager. The role is senior and autonomous, taking ownership of the health and safety function across a multi-site operation.

You will shape strategy, advise senior leadership and maintain high standards across the business, with responsibilities spanning policy development, audits, incident investigations and contractor management.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma Level 6 or equivalent H&S qualification.
• CMIOSH or GradIOSH working towards chartership.
• Strong auditing and management systems experience.
• Excellent knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Experience managing contractors and third-party suppliers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the health and safety strategy for a multi-site operation.
• Maintain policies, procedures and management systems.
• Lead audit and assurance activity across sites.
• Manage accident and incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Monitor trends, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Advise senior stakeholders on legislative changes and compliance.
• Support operational teams with practical H&S guidance.
• Oversee contractor and third-party compliance and performance.
• Identify training needs and raise H&S capability across the business.
• Produce clear reporting and recommendations for senior leadership.
