Job Title: Health, Safety and Wellbeing ManagerLocation: South East (covering Kent to Hampshire)Working Hours: 37 hours per week (Hybrid working – approx. 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)Overview:An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation at a pivotal time of environmental change and infrastructure development. This is a regional leadership role, managing a team of three advisors across the South East and playing a key part in driving performance, engagement, and continuous improvement in health, safety, and wellbeing standards.Key Responsibilities: * Provide day-to-day leadership and management of a team of HSW Advisors. * Support the Head of Department in delivering the HSW strategy and ensuring alignment with organisational objectives. * Act as a role model, promoting core values, safety culture, and behavioural excellence. * Take ownership of HSW risks and hazards and ensure they are managed in line with the organisation’s Safety Management System. * Champion continuous improvement in HSW performance using a combination of leading and lagging indicators. * Strengthen the quality and effectiveness of incident investigations and root cause analysis. * Build and maintain productive relationships with internal stakeholders, supply chain partners, and external regulators. * Participate in the HSW on-call rota to provide 24/7 incident response support on a rotational basis.Requirements: * NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent is essential. * Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) is desirable. * Proven experience in a health and safety leadership role, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sector. * Experience managing teams and coaching staff to improve performance. * Strong working knowledge of risks associated with chemical and toxic gas environments. * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. * A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the South East.Benefits: * Competitive salary and package * Hybrid working model * Excellent career development and training opportunities * A chance to play a key role in an organisation driving sustainable environmental improvementsInterested?If you're ready to hit the ground running in a high-impact role, we'd love to hear from you.
