Overview

We have partnered with a family-owned manufacturing company seeking to appoint a Health and Safety Coordinator at their site in Bristol. This role is ideal for individuals starting a career in safety, those with 1-2 years of HSE experience looking for a new challenge, or candidates from operational backgrounds in manufacturing eager to transition into health and safety.

Key qualities

The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, be relationship-oriented at all levels, and be passionate about promoting safety culture. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety programs, working closely with various departments to identify hazards, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Support and advise on site Health and Safety matters
  • Manage documentation and control processes
  • Review and manage risk assessments (PUWER, COSHH, LOLER)
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to foster a positive safety culture
  • Conduct inspections, investigations, and maintain accurate records
Candidate Requirements
  • Nebosh General Certificate or working towards it
  • Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
  • Experience in EHS is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills, drive, resilience, and personality
  • IT literacy is essential
