Job summary

SafeSafe Talent is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support an established business in Southampton with some local travel. The role focuses on risk assessments, RAMS, and developing safety policies, while providing training and incident investigations.

You will back managers on H&S matters and identify improvements to raise safety standards across operations. The successful candidate will have NEBOSH (or equivalent) and experience in an operational environment, with the potential to grow

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is required.
• Experience in Health & Safety within an operational environment preferred.
• Willingness to travel locally (Southampton area).

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and prepare RAMS.
• Develop and maintain H&S policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Deliver training and toolbox talks to staff.
• Lead incident investigations and report findings.
• Support managers on health & safety matters across the business.
• Identify improvements and implement safety enhancements.
• Build positive relationships with employees and stakeholders.

Health & Safety Advisor

£40,000-£45,000

SafeSafe Talent is supporting a well-established and growing business with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Advisor. This is a great opportunity for someone That has some full time Health & Safety experience who is looking to take the next step, develop their career and grow with a business that will invest in and support them.

You’ll work closely with an experienced management team who will provide support while giving you the freedom to gradually take greater ownership of Health & Safety.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being out within an operational environment rather than spending all their time behind a desk. You'll ideally have some experience in a Health & Safety role within an operational environment. A NEBOSH qualification or equivalent is required, although practical experience and the right attitude are equally important. This could particularly suit someone who feels ready for more responsibility but still wants the support of an experienced management team around them.
